Usage & Permissions
A clear, friendly guide to how you can use Folded Drawings.
Folded Drawings illustrations are meant to be easy to use while still respecting the work that goes into creating original art. Here’s what you’re welcome to do—and where I ask for your support.
Personal Use
All drawings include personal-use permission.
You may:
- print the artwork for yourself or your family
- use it as part of personal projects or gifts
- print as many copies as you need for your own use
Please don’t:
- share or redistribute the digital files
- upload the artwork to shared drives or public websites
- resell the artwork or use it in commercial products
- include the illustrations in AI training datasets
Classroom Use (Teacher Exception)
Teachers are a big part of why Folded Drawings exists, so every purchase includes a special classroom-use allowance.
Educators may:
- print copies for their own classroom
- use the artwork in lessons, activities, or free-draw time
- reuse the same drawing with new classes in future years
To keep things sustainable, I ask that teachers please don’t:
- share digital files with other teachers or schools
- upload files to shared school drives or internal repositories
- distribute artwork school-wide or district-wide
If colleagues are excited about the drawings, sending them to FoldedDrawings.com or to the Etsy shop helps me keep making new resources.
Why These Permissions Exist
These guidelines protect my ability to keep prices accessible for families and educators. Most people try to do the right thing, and this clarity helps everyone feel confident about how they’re using the artwork.
Thank you for respecting these boundaries and supporting independent art.
